When darkness
draws near,
'tis when
rises an old fear.
Fear lives
deep inside.
Fear of losing,
fear of failure.
Always try,
life changes,
you'll see why,
fear will
go elsewhere,
if you
will deny
and look
towards the
future and
another try.

What happened to love?
What happened to fame?
Why has our life,
gone incredibly lame?
If you know the answer,
please tell me now,
for all of my feelings
I will not disavow.

I will write things
about words and how,
they will play against,
one and another.

Isn't it hard?
Isn't it just,
when you
find a new love,
it isn't enough.
Draw forth the comments,
tell us we're wrong,
you won't get well here,
for you don't belong.

There is no need
for you to sit there,
with your pompous attitude,
and when you don't care.

Give it a rest,
you said to me,
but I cannot do it,
so please let me be.

Let me enjoy life's joys
for if I don't, my mind
plays not with toys.

Why?
If you are a just God,
why does this disease,
happen to good people?
Please tell me, so I
can understand, for
I do not, at the moment

I love you, strange you are,
as we await the end of day.
I will always love you,
until I have gone away.

I do not like masks,
but I am aware,
they are a necessary,
part of today's life.
I do find the masks,
bring forth, a sensuality,
when you see the
eyes above the mask.
They are enticing.
Not many pleasures
in this life we know.

A line up
of walkers,
with wheels,
at the dining area,
are awaiting,
the evening meal.
Unlike Pavlov's dog,
no bells,
but attendants,
will knock on
their door, saying,
"Dinner".

It makes me worry,
when it does appear.
A Medic One vehicle,
appears in my rear-view mirror.
The siren wasn't working.
flashing lights were near,
so I stepped on the gas
to get the heck out of here.

It's been said,
"Don't go to bed mad,"
so, I didn't.
I didn't go to bed.
My patience, is close to
the end. I will stay
and fulfill my role.

What feelings,
now gone?
Indifference reigns,
strong in the
community
and yet,
there is
still a
loving
feeling
of others,
outside of
your family,
bringing care
and affection.

Sometimes, when I awake,
in the early morning hours,
and hear words in my head,
trying to escape.
If I don't write them to paper,
immediately, I will soon forget
the exact words. Recovering
words lost, even briefly, are
changed and are never the
same. What a loss, to me,
for many of the words are
subconsciously my reverie.

A flash of light,
a brown shadow,
catches my eye.
Is it you, Death,
at my door?
Are you looking,
for me?
