Light of morning,
Light so bright,
Light is coming,
Holding back the night.

Wandering the path,
in wood and plain,
across green meadows,
I travel once again.

Over moss covered logs,
across creeks rushing,
over lichen covered rocks,
makes my heart sing.

I love the flowers,
which bloom in the Spring,
especially when,
the songbirds sing.

Always a small notion,
to think of the past,
not needing to be sad,
for our memories don't last.

The darkness pursued
the light of day,
covering the beauty
with light of grey.

Sun rays began
to create the dawn,
as daylight returns,
and we yawn.

Setting of the Sun,
spills shadows to the ground.
A gentle breeze, moves leaves
without a sound.

In the distance, I hear
the sound of a Loon,
which I understand,
you will have company soon.

A Loon sounds
eerie at night,
as creatures are moving
and Bats take flight.

An old voice, with an appropriate
message this morning.

It was in early Spring,
the frost was still here.
It was sunny but cold.
Colder than normal this year.

Too early to plant,
for at night it would freeze.
Put on your warmest coat
and many sweaters, please.

Light was the breeze,
close to the ground,
but frost on the grass,
was what I found.

The wind blew cold,
across the lake.
Lightly dressed, was I
how much cold could I take?

Wind blows hard,
taking the rain sideways.
Stinging my ears and face.
I will ask for warmer days.

Facing the wind, bravely,
a strong, little flower,
with stem vibrating,
hour after hour.

Though the wind blew,
gusting with power,
the stem became stronger,
hour after hour.

Wind rustled,
through cattails,
near the pond,
rippling the water.

A peaceful sound,
with aroma unique.
Close your eyes,
enjoy a nap.
You will fall
into a deep sleep.

Long lay, the grassy plain,
dry in Summer, awaiting rain.
What happens when clouds will burst
as parched land, quenches thirst.
