Spring
A Comment by Yelena
😃
Spring eases
into Summer,
with colder weather.
What a bummer.
I stand amongst these tall,
trees, in Norther Idaho.
We are out, scouting for Elk.
I'm riding a Honda Trail 50.
I'm amazed by the
quantity of tall Fern Glades,
stretching across my sight line.
An open cathedral of ferns and trees.
Visibility seems to extend forever.
I don't recall seeing the beautiful sight
in my home state of Washington.
It probably exists on the Peninsula.
A spiritual moment,
I still say
an appropriate view,
on this warm Spring Day.
A memory of 1964, outside Moscow Idaho.
Red was her breast,
as she stood under the tree.
I stayed quiet, as she
looked toward me.
I moved slightly,
now she could see.
She flew quickly
up into the tree.
Cold wind, a blowing,
swaying the trees.
What's all the worry,
it's just a Spring breeze.
Fell the rain,
from out the sky.
It was just in time,
my face was dry.
A fresh rain, in Spring
is refreshing,
as we see flowers a bloom,
and songbirds, sing.
Indonesia’s Mount Ibu, a volcano in North Maluku province, erupted on Saturday, May 18, 2024, spewing thick grey ash clouds two and half miles into the sky, as streaks of lightning flashed around its crater. The eruption forced the evacuation of nearby villages. Ibu iis considered one of the most active of the 128 volcanos in Indonesia. It sits on the Pacific Ring of fire which spans over 15 countries and has 450 volcanos -- (75% of Earth’s volcanoes). About Ninety percent of Earth’s earthquakes occur along the Pacific Ring of Fire. Wind shorn the trees,
with an easternly bent,
as wind blows hard.
Not sure what was meant.
Words flow out,
heading far South,
quite the expulsion,
coming from your mouth.
Within the deep forest,
where trees and ferns grow,
I'd like to be there now,
to watch the Sunset show,
of a lovely horizon,
beautiful and bright,
while waiting for,
the darkest night.
A lonesome wind,
so cold, so hard,
blowing across,
the Courtyard.
With the Sun
and no more rain,
we will plant,
flowers again.
Flowers, with
colors bright,
ready for the,
first sunlight.
Naked branches,
across the sky,
a moonlit background.
Why, oh, why?
Do the simple,
things in life.
Create joy,
not causing strife.
Await a visit,
from afar,
while you observe,
a falling star.
Eagles soar, up high,
contrasting with a
brilliant sky,
dotted with tufts of cotton.
