I Miss the Laughter
A Comment by Loy
❤️❤️❤️
I miss all the laughter,
all the hugs and the sighs.
I don't like it when
memories seep from her eyes.
Where are all the tomorrows?
What happened to the yesterdays?
How hard is it to keep living,
when the love has gone away?
Forth broke the Sun,
at the coming Dawn.
Eyes full of sleep,
as I stifled a yawn.
No more.
No mas.
No need
Work with me, not.
Do not exceed.
Why do we try,
If there isn't a need?
If something happens to me,
what will happen to her?
These questions tear me apart.
An odd way to be, in a case
of affairs of the heart.
Brown the ground,
beneath my feet.
Grass all dead
where we did meet,
on trodden soil
with roots beneath
the sod of years
of the old growth.
All those things we did before
have gone, here no more.
Memories we cherished, dear
have left and no longer here.
Yet you run from
me, with feet afleet,
knowing I can not
handle my defeat.
Love is blind,
this much I know
but pride can cause
an Ego's fall.
From early times
of life's travails
comes a dawning
of the experiences,
comprising a life's work.
Is it even a word,
Inanity?
Meaning of questions
About where thy
Must be.
Believing you are
What you see on TV.
Question after question
Until you can't see
Suffocation is first
Then it is insanity.
A Light crescendo
at break of dawn.
I take a breath
stifling my yawn.
For loss of wife,
there is no cure.
Nothing to do over,
can't take a pill.
Eyes glazed over
once more,
as questions repeat,
about buildings next door.
