"Is it really inflation? Or something else? .... Ordinary Americans have been watching their grocery bills climb to new heights as prices rise on cereals, meat, dairy, fruits, and vegetables — virtually everything we eat. ........ Read more

NASA Astronomy Picture of the Day:

Driven by powerful stellar winds, expanding shrouds of gas and dust frame hot, luminous star Wolf-Rayet 124 in this sharp infrared view. The eye-catching 6-spike star pattern is characteristic of stellar images made with the 18 hexagonal mirrors of the James Webb Space Telescope. About 15,000 light-years distant toward the pointed northern constellation Sagitta, WR 124 has over 30 times the mass of the Sun. Produced in a brief and rarely spotted phase of massive star evolution in the Milky Way, this star's turbulent nebula is nearly 6 light-years across. It heralds WR 124's impending stellar death in a supernova explosion. Formed in the expanding nebula, dusty interstellar debris that survives the supernova will influence the formation of future generations of stars.

"An enduring democracy will encourage rather than discourage media criticism. Attacks by politicians and exposure of unethical acts clearly lower public trust in journalism. But measured skepticism can be healthy and media criticism comprises an essential component of media literacy – and a vibrant democracy."  Read more

I thought I had my emotions,
under control.
I was mistaken.
The ugliness of this disease,
is beyond description.

She got mad at me,
wandering away.
I messed up, by not going
after her.
She went into the kitchen,
of the Dining hall and was
yelling at people.

I went and returned her to
the table where our dinner, was
waiting. She didn't want to eat.
I managed to get her to eat.
She had calmed down.

I took her back to memory care
and she got mad at me. Not sure
why. She cussed me out, told me
to leave, etc.
So, I did.

Now I sit in my room all
teary eyed and upset with
myself. I do not like myself,
at the moment although I
do understand, it probably
wasn't anything I did.

Sorry for the laying this out
for you all.
Thank you for your patience and
understanding.

Down through the valley,
across the great divide,
I will wait for you
at evening tide.

My favorite spot,
will always be,
at Cannon Beach,
on the Pacific Sea.

We have gone there,
for so many years.
No longer a destination,
gone with the fear,

of never seeing you,
the way I did then,
when our love was fresh
and where it began.
