I see your face before me,
Your smile lights up the room.
I hear the echo of your laughter,
That lifts the daily gloom.
I look for you but you are gone
And no longer speak my name.
My memory fails, as I sigh
And try to hide the pain,
Of my sadness.
The serenity of our life, is still
That time, that is so tranquil.
Must we succumb, to those, gone before,
That left this life, through open door?
I know not what words to say,
Then to praise God, on this day.
