Bells ringing on the corner,
red kettle, in hand.
Collecting coins,
throughout the land.

Long will I remember,
praying up above,
for salvation
of the one I love.

This time of year,
this time is sought,
to help others with
those things or have nots.

When few becomes many,
in this crazy land, ours,
while sadness runs rampant,
like fallen stars.

So many residents,
here, in this place,
of memory care issues,
a lot or a trace.

Varied reactions, unique
to individuals, of whom we speak.
Everyone is different, what I see,
the way Nature intended
and the way it will be.

Some days, your best
laid plans, go awry.
Don't delay,
change your journey.

Build you defenses,
fortify the wall.
Risk not your friendship,
you cannot have it all.

In many cultures, striking up a conversation with a stranger is the norm, and could even lead to a budding friendship. But not for the Swedes....In Sweden, casual chattiness is seen as needless, since conversation is used for exchanging real, meaningful information. More at BBC ➜

When life springs eternal,
what about love?
Should we all play by
the rules from above?

Why do you worry?
It helps you not.
OK to have concern,
that is my thought.

When you worry,
you pick up a bag of rocks,
it is quite painful, from the
hat on your head to your sox.

If you are in love,
please don't tarry.
Step up, tell them,
love is better than worry.

Write of tomorrow
and what life may bring.
Think about others,
make your memories sing.

Life is quite fleeting,
in the Cosmos we know.
Prepare for tomorrow,
get on with the show.

It must be burdensome,
to be in God's hands,
having to make decision,
about who wins or loses.

How would you decide,
on the merits of life,
when you don't punish others,
but you will take a wife.

Hard to believe today,
when looking at others.
How different it must be,
deciding between sisters and brothers.

Empathy,
Compassion,
Not everyone is gifted,
with those attributes.
How unbelievably sad.
