Author's note: Although I normally attempt to write a humorous story - after all this IS a humor website - every now and then I choose to write something serious, from the heart. This is one of those situations. - TEJ
This is the 100% true story of my wife's and my adoption stories. Our two daughters, now all grown up, joined our family roughly one year apart, when we traveled to China on two separate occasions to adopt. Read about the powerful experience that I never could have imagined would have happened to me, and which changed my life forever, in a profoundly positive way - twice.

Join your host, Larry Korn, for a week long natural farming immersion at Ananda Farm on Camano Island. Vegetarian meals and camping space is provided for the week. Attune to the spirit of Masanobu Fukuoka and natural living as an integrated approach to life and agriculture. Participate in classes, discussion, philosophy, and the hands-on practice of natural farming. The farm currently has around 10 resident-stewards at the farm, alpacas, goats, dogs, cats, chickens, and a few acres of garden-orchards filled with thousands of plants, crawlers, and fliers. Camano Island Fire and Rescue provides CPR/AED and choking for adult, child and infants. There is no age limit as long as the student can physically perform the training. The cost of the course is $25 per student.

Come check out the 15th annual Stanwood Chamber Golf Classic which will be taking place on Friday, September 6th, 2019 at Camaloch Golf Course from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. Enjoy the beautiful backdrop that is Camano Island. 

The tournament will be played in scramble format, shotgun start at 8:00 am. 

Check in begins at 7:00 am.

A foursome (team) includes green fees for 4, use of 2 golf carts, goodie bag, lunch & beer ticket and activities at each hole.

The Sequim Lavender Festival® celebrates its 22nd year in the heart of Sequim during the weekend of July 20th to 22nd. Solely produced and managed by the member-growers of the Sequim Lavender Growers Association ™, the Sequim Lavender Festival® will include activities and attractions to delight visitors of all ages.

The Sequim Lavender Street Fair is located in Carrie Blake Community Park this year.  This beautiful venue will host more than 150 crafts and lavender booths, a diverse food court, live music and more. Hours are Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission to the event is free and we offer free parking at the entrance to Blake Ave.  Watch for signs coming off Hwy 101 and directions to general parking and ADA parking.
