On July 4, 1776, a new nation was brought into the world, as the Second Continental Congress unanimously adopted the Declaration of Independence to announce the colonies' separation from the Kingdom of Great Britain.

Congress had voted in favor of independence from Great Britain on July 2 but did not actually complete the process of revising the Declaration of Independence which was originally drafted by Thomas Jefferson in consultation with fellow committee members John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Roger Sherman, and William Livingston and submitted to Congress on June 28th 1776.

The Camano Island Chamber of Commerce is excited to host the 24th annual Chili & Chowder Cook-Off!

24 different local businesses will wow your taste buds with their chili and chowder and YOU get to decide who wins!

The booths will be creatively decorated, and there will be live music playing!

Enjoy HUGE raffle items, beer/wine for purchase and overall FUN for the whole family!

Cost is $10 for 10 tastings per person when you order your tickets HERE, otherwise tickets sold at the door for $15 for 10 tastings.

Relay For Life of Skagit County is Scarin' Up a Cure for Halloween! This event is a family friendly Halloween party! There will be food, games, a costume contest and so much more! Come out and enjoy a night of fun while also raising money for a great cause!

Come check out this fall cooking and nutrition series! Learn some new slow cooker and instant pot recipes!

Come check out this amazing healing circle on Camano Island! This is a FREE meeting for ALL people. Thats right, EVERYONE is welcome!

Please come to the Camano Country Clubhouse to participate in a non-denominational gathering of people who wish to heal. 

The healing circles are hosted by Registered Nurse, Nicole Vienneau, MSN, RN, NC-BC.

The next healing circle meetings are: Tuesday, September 17th, 2019 from 12:45-1:45 pm and Tuesday, October 22nd, 2019 from 12:45-1:45 pm. 

Step out of your comfort zone and into a safe and accepting environment in which you can explore healing. With open minds, your group will work together to discover the best ways to remove obstacles to healing, alleviate suffering, and deepen your capacity to heal.

It's that time of year again! The Stanwood-Camano YMCA is now registering kids for youth soccer (this program is designed for children ages 3-6). Your child will learn the  fundamentals of soccer in a fun atmosphere while cultivating values, skills, and relationships that lead to positive behaviors and better health. This is a non-competitive league that is a great introduction for the younger kids. 

Games are held on Saturdays from October 1st through November 23rd, 2019 between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm. Cost is $45 for facility members and $60 for non-members.
