The Seaside Farmers Market will offer food carts, music, a wide variety of fresh produce, pasture-raised meat, organic cheeses, artisan food and hand crafted products in the of City of Seaside.

It's happy hour at the zoo!

Having cocktails at the zoo isn't just fun, it helps raise awareness and support for the zoo's mission of creating a better future for wildlife. Each happy hour will feature a different animal theme and August 8 will focus on elephants. 

Ticket includes zoo admission and a drink ticket, plus lawn games, photo ops and fun animal sightings. Some of the area's favorite local food carts will be there, along with great Oregon beer and wine.

Visitors who are 21+ can enjoy a zoo experience with dates, friends or family at an adults-only event.

Tonight’s event will feature an elephant pool party at 5:30 p.m. along with ambassador animal encounters from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

National Night Out is Foster-Powell Neighborhood Association's biggest event of the year! Please join us and gather with your neighbors! Listen and dance to live music by Foster's Kids. Check out local businesses and community information tables. Free fun for all ages!

The 4th annual Lents Street Fair's Chicken Beauty Contest! Come and vote for Portland's prettiest chickens! Or, if you think your hen has what it takes, enter her and see if you can win the grand prize!Every entry receives a goodie bag from Foster Feed and Garden, and the first place winners win a trophy and a swag bag of stuff from Scratch and Peck Feed! This year there are TWO categories: Grownups and Young'uns to vote for. Twice the fun!

This year alone, another 77,000 people are expected to receive that same diagnosis. The Northwest Brain Tumor Walk is an inspiring, family-friendly walk that offers individuals and teams a chance to honor and remember loved ones, connect with others interested in the cause, and educate the local community on the diverse needs of patients and survivors.All proceeds benefit the National Brain Tumor Society www.braintumor.org and are allocated to raising vital awareness of the disease and funding critical brain tumor research for the discovery of new treatments and ultimately, a cure.

Our 15th annual Summer Fest 2018 will be at the Rice Northwest Museum of Rocks and Minerals Saturday and Sunday, August 4-5, 2018. The hours are 10 AM – 5 PM. Admission is $6 for everyone ages 5 and up!

Geodes and other minerals and rocks for sale at vendor booths. The outdoor festival features a wide variety of rock, mineral, gem, jewelry, and fossil dealers. We will have food for purchase, live music, and plenty of fun family activities.

Rock clubs from around the region will be offering wonderful educational displays, demonstrations, and activities.

Parents and caregivers are urged to have their children's car seats checked at this event, which is presented by the OHSU Doernbecher Tom Sargent Safety Center. Certified child passenger safety technicians are available to inspect car seats and provide hands-on advice free of charge.
