Cruisin’ Sherwood in 2017 was a festive summer event with a little liquid sunshine.  Because of this, our numbers were closer to 250 great hot rods, classics, collector cars and customs, all proudly glowing in the sun of Sherwood’s classic Old Town!

Many marveled at the Burnout and Engine Blow contest!

Icy cold brews were shared, and not shared in the Cruisin’ Beer Garden and many were entertained by popular performers- not to mention Hit Machine!

Kiddies gleefully burned uncounted energy in the Kids Zone! Folks were tempted by dozens of automotive vendors, arts and crafts and hot-on-the-scene foods!

Some with four-wheeled pride and joy won prestigious trophies!

Cannon Beach will host its 54th annual Sandcastle Contest Saturday, June 9, 2018, the oldest competition of its kind in the Pacific Northwest and the most popular event in Cannon Beach. Dozens of teams of professional sand sculpture artists, amateur groups and families will construct remarkable creations in the sand during the event. The Masters division teams compete for cash prizes and construct large, elaborate creations often utilizing construction forms similar to those used for pouring concrete in order to accomplish their monumental size. Although the contest on Saturday is the highlight of the weekend, visitors will find plenty of other activities to keep them busy.

The Rose Festival is proud to host the Portland Rose Festival Dragon Boat Races, an event that has been bringing an exciting Chinese tradition to Portland for more than two decades, beginning in 1989.

A colorful reflection of local, regional and international communities, the parade draws hundreds of thousands of cheering viewers of every age, along a 4-mile route that winds through city streets and across the river.
