where is the art?

Aquatint, an etching technique, was invented in Amsterdam around 1650 by the printmaker Jan van de Velde IV. The technique  was all but forgotten until the eighteen century when recipes for its used were published and its techniques were improved by a number of artists. An exhibition at the National Gallery of Art will trace the technique’s development through Europe, starting in the late 1700s. Come forth the morning,
I tire of the night.
Looking for the brightness
to this gloomiest night.

A World of fantasy,
without any end.

sketch the subject,
faint the line.
Select your brush,
mix paint on the pallet,
keep paper flat
to avoid paint run
of watercolor.
Paint the picture,
wet or dry.
Work your art.
Nice first try.

Moonlight and roses,
champagne or wine,
chocolate tid bits,
all sound devine,
when courting another,
sweetheart of thine.

He strolls along
the Market Place,
his walk, like a strut,
at his own pace.
Where goest you now?
You've fallen from grace.

Where is the noise?
Where is the fury,
when we hear the wind
in a big hurry?
No thunder; no lightning,
as you continually said.
Why? Did you guess wrong
once more?

He walked or swayed,
like the oldest tree.
His limbs were thick,
rough and scarred,
beneath his own Canopy.
