Soft flows the water,
so clear and blue.
It's shimmering image,
reminds me of you.

What I must do,
to stay happy today,
is to find a new path,
doing it my own way.

What is that path?
I wish I knew.
I will not start my journey
While I am living with you.

These words tug at my heart
for I am missing you so.
I know you will leave me,
but I don't want you to go.

I am fortunate
and a very lucky man,
to have all the friends,
who care about me.

My nose starts running,
my eyes, shedding a tear,
when I sit with you,
and you don't know I'm near.

Verbal communication,
gone with life's flow,
when I said, "I love You,"
you said, "I know."

A surprise to me,
was that reply,
for you had stopped speaking
and I was wondering why.

A case of four and twenty
or two dozen to you,
was a new counting system,
which was long overdue.

In other countries,
most don't count like we do
so, remember with numbers,
counting decisions are up to you.

Gaze across the frozen canyons of northern Pluto in this contrast enhanced color scene. The image data used to construct it was acquired in July 2015 by the New Horizons spacecraft as it made the first reconnaissance flight through the remote Pluto system six billion kilometers from the Sun. Now known as Lowell Regio, the region was named for Percival Lowell, founder of the Lowell Observatory. Also famous for his speculation that there were canals on Mars, Lowell started the search that ultimately led to Pluto's discovery in 1930 by Clyde Tombaugh. In this frame Pluto's North Pole is above and left of center. The pale bluish floor of the broad canyon on the left is about 70 kilometers (45 miles) wide, running vertically toward the south. Higher elevations take on a yellowish hue. New Horizon's measurements were used to determine that in addition to nitrogen ice, methane ice is abundant across Lowell Regio. So far, Pluto is the only Solar System world named by an 11-year-old girl.

I was at a dance
the other day.
Wait it was at night,
what else can I say?

I looked across the room
thick with smokey haze.
It was hard to see
who danced to amaze.

I caught a glimpse
of a beautiful girl,
she had lovely clothes
and wore many a pearl.

I approached her,
and took my chance,
hoping she would say yes
to a little romance.

She looked at me
with beautiful eyes
and said, "you don't
look wealthy or wise."

Embarrassed I was,
I could feel my shames,
and had just experienced,
another, "Shot down in Flames."

There is a lesson
I want to share.
Don't give up,
there are more out there.

Oh, my Lord,
what a day.
Everything I do,
I am in the way.

My creative life
is now in the tank.
I try to write now
and everything is rank!
Phew!

Summer heat,
sleepless night,
drooping eyes,
just not right.

How can you ignore,
the care of another?
They are not strangers,
nor sisters or brothers.

Step forward to be,
counted by all,
be they short
or exceptionally tall.
