#sunset

I have thought of past and present
And of things, that couldn't be.
Of horses, snakes and elephants,
Underneath a Eucalyptus tree.
But most of all, I have thoughts
Of you and me.

I dreamt I was important
And when I awoke,
I found that I was
Important, to someone like:
People who love you,
For the way you are,
Less than perfect.

Pleasure comes in many
Forms:
Watching children playing,
Hearing girls, laughing,
The smell of fresh
Bread baking or
Touching someone,
You love.

We play word games,
You and I.
We talk in riddles.
Trying to explain, is
Hard to do.
It strains the brain.
Justifying a need, can
Be rationalized,
To the point, where
Anything is possible.
Personal fulfillment is
Elusive and differs
With individuals.
Involvement, with people
Must be mutual.

Lay, beside me,
Press the warmth
Of your belly,
To my back.
I feel the heat,
Of your body,
While, the cold
Of your feet,
Chills me.

We're all lovers, everyone.
Every man and fathers son.
So be aware, on the streets,
As we'll get you between the sheets.

Surround me, with you're
Warm cocoon of love.
Weave the threads of happiness,
Tightly, from up above.
Layer upon layer of threads,
Tells me, I am in love.

Wondrous moments,
Cover my soul,
With warmth from
Your thoughts
And words.
Lucky am I,
To be close to you,
During this time
Of our life.

Whispers, in the night,
Come from corners of darkness.
Words, softly said,
To a friendly ear,
Draws you closer.
And now you hear,
The words, I love you,
Said, on blankets,
On the grass,
By those, whose presence,
Will soon pass,
Into nothingness.

I love a woman,
While loving many.
Seeking solitude,
I search for people.
Seldom do
And seldom don't.
Pleasure runs away,
Yet I seek pleasure.

Warm as the summer wood,
Steeped by the breeze,
The hot breath of sun light,
Scorches all the trees,
Beneath which I lie.
Sprawled on a blanket,
I gaze at the sky
While thinking of those
In love, like you and I.
