The drum beats loudly in my mind
As my blood pressure, begins to climb.

All the pills I take, every one,
Will not keep this life, as I am done.
I believe in a life after death
Will start with my last breath.

Sometimes you see
A hanging basket
Flowers dangling free.

Love me on the morrow.
Love me on this day.
Love me forever,
Love me in your way,
Until we're not here
And have gone away.

Deep amongst this World of ours,
Is a beautiful sight, one of flowers.
The beauty that flowers can bring
Makes this aged heart want to sing.
Cut flowers are nice; of course they are
But not as nice as those in the yard.

Thank you dear friend,
For believing in me.
It's a blessing from God,
That I now see.
You helped me before,
More than you know,
So now this venture,
And on with the show.

Twilight deepens, as the Sun recedes,
Casting shadows, from trees and weeds.
Shadow that deepen, into black,
As colors fade away, too soon
And can't be seen
in the descending gloom.

Flowers in full bloom
are lovely.
Flowers that bloom
gradually,
are fascinating.

Dear God, in Heaven,
before I meet my demise
is it asking too much
to see another sunrise?

I hear sounds of dogs at bay,
as we lie on the meadow floor.
A forbidden adventure is in play
as I keep asking for more.
More of the love, that we had.
It was all very good.
There was nothing bad.
So, why have we parted this way?
Was it something I said,
that turned you away?
Please tell me; oh tell me so,
for my Soul is now hollow
with no place to go.

Peggy's Cove Fishing Village

You may come for the famous lighthouse, but there’s lots more here to see - and to the sea. Waves exploding around ocean-swept rocks (don’t get too close!), wooden houses perched along the narrow inlet, the famous gingerbread at the Sou’Wester Restaurant, the arts & crafts stores scattered among the fishing shacks, and the homemade ice-cream at Dee Dee’s.
