Festival under the towering trees of Mt. Scott Park. We will be joined by partners form around Portland to bringing tree and environment themed displays, games, activities, crafts, and giveaways. Arbor Day will also include live music, food, face painting, tree climbing for all ages, free tree giveaways, the Naito Awards, and arborist ready to answer your tree related questions.

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. The pinwheel symbolizes a happy, uplifting childhood and reminds us of the healthy start we want for all children.

Partners in this effort include: Healthy Birth Initiative, Multnomah County Health Department, Black Parent Initiative, PCRI, PARR Lumber, Albina Early Head Start, Self Enhancement Inc. and Urban League of Portland.

Its such a pain to wash your dog and trim nails and clean ears -- it always smells like wet dog after - GOSH, you should come April 8th to Elegant Dog Grooming LLC of 185th and West Union and let a bunch of amazing Vet techs that are raising money for a local dog rescue do it for you! We’re doing $5 nail trims and $15 washes!!

We're looking forward to scooping thousands of ice cream cones at our Partnershops on Tuesday, April 10th - National Free Cone Day - and raising awareness & funds for New Avenues for Youth's job-training programs for youth experiencing or at-risk of homelessness.

OREGON BEACH CLEANUP FOR ALL BEACH GOERS

“Do It For The Beaches” Ocean Blue Project focuses on cleaning the ocean and creating awareness to reduce the use of plastic. We are collecting microplastic fragments on every visit to the Oregon Coast year round. This project is a community effort and all Oregonians are asked to participate. If we all do a little, we can achieve a lot.

The Gray Sky Blues Music Festival starts on Saturday, April 7, 2018 following the Tacoma Daffodil Festival Grand Floral Parade in downtown Tacoma, and will feature some of the finest blues musicians to be found west of the Mississippi.

Fang! will be selling raffle tickets from March 26th until April 26th to benefit Oregon Wild and the Wildland Firefighter Foundation. Tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5. Prizes include mounted houseplants, trees, shrubs, soil, gift certificates and more! Winners will be announced on Arbor Day, April 27th.

Oregon has seen a devastating number of wildfires this year. Oregon Wild works to protect and restore Oregon’s wildlands, wildlife and waters as an enduring legacy for all Oregonians. Wildland Firefighter Foundation's main focus is to help families of firefighters killed in the line of duty and to assist injured firefighters and their families.
