upon a star,
it makes a difference
of whom you are.

For if you believe,
wishing on a star,
will change your life
and take you far,

away to another place,
where Love is near
and there is nothing,
except Wine and Beer.

West Bengal in India is seeing a remarkable recovery of its forests. Thanks to a successful collaboration between local communities and the government, the region has seen a significant increase in tree cover over the past few decades. The project has been so successful that the area now has more trees than it did in 1973! With the help of the local communities, the government is replanting trees, protecting wildlife, and utilizing the forests for sustainable economic growth. NASA Astronomy Picture of the Day:

In the fading darkness before dawn, a tilted triangle appeared to balance atop a rock formation off the southern tip of Sicily. Making up the points of the triangle are three of the four brightest objects visible in Earth’s sky: Jupiter, Venus and the Moon. Though a thin waning crescent, most of the moon’s disk is visible due to earthshine. Captured in this image on 2022 April 27, Venus (center) and Jupiter (left) are roughly three degrees apart -- and were headed toward a close conjunction. Conjunctions of Venus and Jupiter occur about once a year and are visible either in the east before sunrise or in the west after sunset. The featured image was taken about an hour before the arrival of the brightest object in Earth’s sky – the Sun.

Time to purge these old grey cells,
so here goes.
What you'll read next, won't
make sense.

I walked through the fountain of burning
flames. Am I in Hades? Would you care
to explain? Why I see you when I know
you're not there and still hear your voice,
everywhere.

Last night at the computer, I felt a tug on
my left arm and heard your voice, say
"Jerry." You were downstairs.
Why do these strange things occur?
Down the fast road, I ran at a trot. Why?
I don't know, forget me not.

Do you think I'm funny when I write this
way? I have a lot to say, sorry, I digress.
You are my World, you are my life,
you will always be my lovely wife.

I run with the
dogs of November.
I must work harder,
and always remember,

to see more of my wife,
while there is still time.
When she goes missing,
my life is not worth a dime.

Now the days
and nights pass,
too quickly so
I cannot ask,

about all the
work which
lays ahead.
Necessary for

the survival of
this facility,
which is home
and the livelihood
of the residents.
