Come bowl with Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium zookeepers and raise money to save rhinos!Bowling for Rhinos is a world-wide event that raises money to support five rhinoceros sanctuaries in Kenya, Java and Sumatra. Over $400,000 is
raised annually at Bowling for Rhinos events across North America - this money goes to save both rhinos and their ecosystems. In 2017, the Tacoma event raised $11,967.66!Just rhinos? Actually, the fundraiser also benefits cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, lions, elephants, Sumatran tigers, gibbons, sun bears, orangutans, dhole, tapirs, green sea turtles, coral reefs and many more species.Who: Bowling for Rhinos is organized by the American Association of Zoo Keepers (AAZK)
and the Tacoma event by the Point Defiance AAZK.Cost: Early registration (by Aug. 4) $20; Online (by Aug. 24) $25; At-event (Aug. 25) $30. Includes 2 hours of bowling, shoes, pizza and salad.

SAM LIGHTS IS FREE, FUN, & FAMILY FRIENDLY - Brighten your winter with a luminous evening stroll through the Olympic Sculpture Park. Experience the wonder of the iconic sculptures in the park lit with the glow of luminaria. Make art, listen to music, sip a hot drink, grab a sweet bite, and take in the sights. Come dressed in your best light-inspired ensemble and become a part of the night!

Put a little jingle in your holiday celebrations by joining the Sammamish Symphony, along with special guests, The Liberty Singers from Issaquah School District’s Liberty High School, for a musical celebration of the season featuring a blend of holiday favorites, some light symphonic delights and a few festive surprises.
