I took this picture yesterday of the old Bancroft cotton Mills in Wilmington Delaware along the Brandywine River. In its prime, these mills were the largest cotton Mills in the country and one of the largest in the world. The Mills were built back in the 1800s, atop an older mill built in the 1700s, changed hands a few times and were abandoned and burned at least three times in the past decade the most recent being a couple months ago where a large portion of the structure burned for a week straight. There is a little man-made Dam that used to power a water wheel and it creates a perfect little still reflection pool. I'm a bit and then merge with the architectural Decay, colors and textures of this old structure. I hope you enjoy it too
