Have there been any changes in the water situation? Is it ok to drink?
Hello, my name is Anne Taylor; I’m a seasoned managing broker on Camano Island. I love working with clients who are looking to buy or sell a second or retirement home on one of the beautiful islands of the Puget Sound.
What separates my service from other brokers is that I focus on waterfront and waterfront community clients. Because of this, my clients receive proven, undiluted, focused information on the best waterfront and coastal properties available.
My clients are first in line to receive new property listings that closely match their desires. This is critical whether you’re buying or selling in an increasingly competitive market.
Would you like to know more? My past clients say it best:
The earliest transportation to Camano Island was by water. The ferry connected Camano to the mainland and was located east of the Mark Clark Bridge which was opened in 1909
It has been said by many, in various ways and with different meanings, that "life is but a series of moments" some of them are precious and linger for a lifetime, whereas others are fleeting.
My precious moments at Islaya are deeply engraved images in my mind and will be with me forever...... Family, friends, beautiful sunsets. blooming flowers, wildlife ................ and much more.
This group site is a place to share our collective memories of time spent at Islaya. I look forward to seeing your posts so we may together build our collection of precious moments at Islaya, a little bit of heaven on Camano Island.
Islaya, the name of the cabin, is a reshuffle of the word Yasila a remote and tiny fishing village south of the equator in northern Peru, where I was lucky to spend some wonderful summers when I was a kid. The cabin is built on a double lot with 216 feet of south-west facing water front, with a view of Mount Rainier to the south. The land was purchased in 1985. Construction started in 1989 and it was completed in 1991.
A major remodel was done in 2004. The remodel project started with the simple objective to add some room over the garage for the growing family and ended up with every room being touched and modified in some way. The result however, was exactly what I wanted.
Over the years, we have had many great times there with family and friends at Islaya. It is an incredible place during a warm summer day, but it is equally enjoyable in a stormy winter day. There are several type of fruits trees. Among them, pears, apples, plums, figs, kiwis, English walnuts, chestnuts, almonds, peaches, several grapevines, blueberries, blackberries and many, many weeds! Walks on the beach, fishing, boating, crabbing and clamming are among the outdoor amenities.
