To start, sauté some onion in butter until it's soft and translucent. Add garlic and sauté for a minute more, then add a can of diced tomatoes. Simmer for 10 minutes, then add the broth and any additional vegetables you have on hand. Simmer for another 10 minutes, and you'll have a delicious soup ready to eat.
