Join us in celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Redmond Parks and Recreation
and the Grand Opening of the new Redmond Community Center at Marymoor
Village on Saturday March 24th.  A ribbon cutting ceremony will start at 9:30am followed by open house activities from 10am-1pm and the annual
Beat the Bunny 5K Run/Walk and Kids Dash!

9:30 a.m. - Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
9:30 a.m. - Beat the Bunny Kids Dash
10:00 a.m. - Beat the Bunny 5K
10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. - Grand Opening Celebration Activities
10:15 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. - Meet and Greet with Former Seahawk Quarterback and
Local Radio Personality Brock Huard

Attendees will enjoy: -Listening to tunes from local band and Derby Days Grand Parade award winners “Fidgety Feet” while snacking on free theater style popcorn -Exploring the Community Center with a “Passport to the Grand Opening” to earn some summer worthy sunnies -Getting into the festive spirit with free face painting and balloon animals
-Telling us what THEY want to see for the future of Redmond Parks and Rec in exchange for a color changing 50th Anniversary water bottle -Taking a selfie with the Farrel-McWhirter Farm bunnies -Playing games like our new interactive "Eye Play" gaming system, basketball shoot out, giant jenga, and more -Creating a make and take craft -And also... .cookie giveaways from Whole Foods, free fitness class demos, and more!

SAM LIGHTS IS FREE, FUN, & FAMILY FRIENDLY - Brighten your winter with a luminous evening stroll through the Olympic Sculpture Park. Experience the wonder of the iconic sculptures in the park lit with the glow of luminaria. Make art, listen to music, sip a hot drink, grab a sweet bite, and take in the sights. Come dressed in your best light-inspired ensemble and become a part of the night!

Put a little jingle in your holiday celebrations by joining the Sammamish Symphony, along with special guests, The Liberty Singers from Issaquah School District’s Liberty High School, for a musical celebration of the season featuring a blend of holiday favorites, some light symphonic delights and a few festive surprises.
