Floating in the air
as a moth to the flame,
when he arrived here.

were very unsound.

He had no compassion
for woman or man
and lies and stealing was
his primary plan.
Tell them what they want to hear
but do not deliver or keep your word
and soon they will make a King out of you.

A single, lonely Moth
flits to the flickering flame

I'll tell you a story
or spin you a tale,
about what is good
about being a male.
Not much to say,
not anymore
for lies and cheating
are part of the lore.
Give me your money,
I'll take it from thee,

Don't tell me about
the socialist state
for I am the one
who you must berate.
I create messes
both near and far,
the wreck of a man,

I'm not the man,
for that's not me.
I am ignorance and bliss

a self buffoonery.

I now question what I see,
as I'm seeking some originality.

It was dark.

and once the
story was told,
you became aware

Not as bad
in the fold,
like a fungi,
or even mold.
I'm quite certain,
this could be,
end of life
only for me.

When you leave this place
at the end of your day,
will you stroll slowly
or run quickly to say,
"Goodbye to all,
that I know well;
I'm on a pathway,
going straight to Hell."

Up stood the Devil,
grabbing me by the hand,
"Come with me, my Son,
to the Promised Land."

I withdrew my hand,
walking away from He,
Saying, "Leave me alone,
just let me be."

Walking away, faster than most,
saying a prayer
to our redeemer
and the Holy Ghost.

"Into the breech"
she said to me.
So into the breech
it will be.
Stand up to tyranny,
every single day.
It won't be long;
it will go away.

Away we will go,
like a kite in the wind.
Into the bluest of blue
in the cloudless sky.
Flit to the branch
of a new, growing tree,
catching the Sun
as it passes by.
Nothing could be more
grand, for those eyes
of mine to see,
a reflection in your eyes,
and an image of me.

The broad fields of green and gold,
with mountains high, that enfold.
the blue of lakes in your eyes,
slowly, slowly will mesmerize
my mind and it's thoughts
with over powering scent
of those Forget Me Nots.
