If I Ever
• 03/05/21 at 10:17PM •If I ever come this way again,
I hope you will be my friend,
for I want the World to know,
I love you much and I'll go
another place; a distant shore,
to a place never seen before.
If I ever come this way again,
I hope you will be my friend,
for I want the World to know,
I love you much and I'll go
another place; a distant shore,
to a place never seen before.
From the depths of your Soul,
where love will root with emotion,
springing forth, when nurtured by
the good feeling which arise
by close association to others.
Familiarity may breed contempt,
if not tempered by understanding
of how the meshing of racial
differences, blends the personalities
of tribal customs. We do this
every day, through out our lives,
as we work; as we play.
I am older than glacial dirt
washed down the bed of
a glacial stream.
I fear not the fool,
who says, he is.
I fear for the one
who thinks we're his.

Campfire ablaze,
a castaway shell.
A pathway to trouble
of which I know well,
the road to Perdition's
slow ride to Hell.
An earlier time,
a slow dance,
is there time,
for another chance?
Isn't it sad,
an old romance,
never the same,
Cupids arrow perchance,
missed the target
and won't enhance,
the lost love;
an old romance,
just once more.
A last dance.
A golden Moon, brings its rays,
to the place where you lay,
upon the sand, beneath the trees.
Thanks be to God, one more time,
for being there, to hear my words.
Words of gratitude for allowing me
one more day, where freedom
and a good man now leads this Nation.
A man with class and compassion,
who cares about the working man.
Give him strength and help him Lord,
with all your might, to make it,
through the long, dark night.
Whence came the wild look in your eyes?
What spark is it which makes you wise?
Where do we go from here? This place
Is not for us, unlike others, it's about face.
The loose change, in my pocket,
money to spare.
Is more like my one feeling;
one of despair.
No more control. A glass
with no wine.
What does one do, when
having this doubt?
Run away and hide, or
jump and shout?
There are very few pleasures, which come with age,
so losing something of enjoyment now
is taxing the old man's tired mind,
who enjoys his friends and a glass of wine.
Please excuse me now, for I'll move on,
trying not to complain but Dear Lord,
please lose the freezing and take us back to rain.
Change the words upon the plate,
for many may be hard to abrogate,
mean they naught, to you and I,
as they gallop across the sky.
What to do? Where do you go,
confused by hate? I don't know.
