Vote
• 10/29/18 at 11:17PM •Go vote red
Or vote blue.
That's your choice
Of what to do.
Don't talk of hate
Or become irate,
Do what's best for you.
Vote, Vote, Vote.
Go vote red
Or vote blue.
That's your choice
Of what to do.
Don't talk of hate
Or become irate,
Do what's best for you.
Vote, Vote, Vote.
The words have now left my head,
And now I'm going back to bed.
I sincerely hope, that what I said,
Will bring laughter with smiles instead.
The coming days and nights of fear,
As the voting day is drawing near.
Vote your conscience,
Red or Blue.
It's up to you.
It is always the darkest before the dawn
And the sleepless hours, go on and on.
In the business world, you should know,
It takes teamwork, if we're to grow.
But that is not, what you say,
It's all about you, every day.
The pride you take, when you ridicule
Should take you back to Charm School.
Just another voice in the wind
Who is going to scream and shout,
About this great lack of compassion
For others, in our life or out.
Stoked by ignorance
Fed by fear.
Is the end
Coming near?
Put down your phone and the remote,
It will soon be time to vote.
So pick up your pen or a pencil will do,
And vote your preference, which may be blue,
Or red, if that is what you choose,
But please vote for the one's not to lose.
Vote, Vote, Vote, Vote
This world, is one of greed and passion.
Requests that we all stay in fashion.
Who tell us what to wear today,
Should leave us alone, and go away.
Everyone, please take note,
It will soon be time to vote.
There is still time to register,
But not on line.
So look up the locations
And complete your registration.
Please don't treat this with distain,
If you do, then don't complain.
There are people, in this land,
Who are trying to undermine,
The pillars of Democracy.
These people make lots of noise
And will say "Boys will be boys".
The women of this modern day
Are not goin to go away,
So listen up you old men,
There is still time to make your amend.
In the course, of these past days,
My two good friends have gone away.
One was quick and so very sudden.
One fought cancer to the very end.
Then I heard the news, just today,
That another friend had passed away,
In two thousand, one and three (2013).
All four of us worked at the same location.
So this has become, to me an aberration
Of how very fickle, this life can be,
As my three friends are now just a memory.
You that plumb, the depths of decency,
Are behaving badly, far too frequently.
I sit, I wait, I pontificate,
About those things, that will never be.
For all the ills and pain, in this world,
That has it's, manifest of hate
Of religion and race, different than ours,
With the wants of others, not our concern
And only our selfish interest, is there,
Not the love for others. Caring not,
What your personal beliefs are.
That's up to you, to pass the test
Of how you've led your life, best.
While we must, all develop our own
Understanding of our lives, special meaning
And care for one another and achieving,
The respect for the life of each other,
Brothers and sisters of a different mother.
