The thunder rolled,
as lighting slapped.
A crashing sound,
smelling the Ozone,
in the rain drenched air.

Have we become,
too politically, correct?
Are there any other
barriers we can erect?

Building fences,
seems to be the thing,
keeping people out,
so, they don't bring,

problems to us,
want them or not.
Without fences,
you get what you got.

When the Sun, rises,
in the East,
we will see,
a visual feast.

To write of nothing,
makes little sense,
unless, of course,
you are quite dense.

When this life,
smacks you in the face,
turn the other cheek,
and your faults, embrace.

A lost love,
or a love lost.
What are the burdens,
what is the cost?

To lose a love,
which wasn't yours,
but someone else's
It's your fault. Yours!

I love you,
I truly do,
but my love,
is not fair to you.

When I'm alone
and blue,
I find myself,
thinking of you,

no matter where,
near or far,
I want to be,
where you are.

When hearts collide,
within this chapter of life,
with so many differences,
after losing my wife.

I find it strange to
address someone new,
when I'm still searching for
someone like you.

What do you do,
when faced with this task?
Talk to family and friends,
don't be afraid to ask.

Wayward the boy,
young lad, he.
Wayward the boy,
the boy was me.

Called a "Rowdy",
by some, when in town.
In reality, he was shy,
his pride not found.

Growing into life,
his maturity rose,
now he is known,
for his posture and poise.

A beautiful, young lady,
came into my life.
I knew in the moment,
she would be my wife.

We wed, and two boys,
came our way,
a happy family,
until one day.

Now she is gone,
away from my side,
the beautiful Ellie,
once was my bride.

Sometimes it's great,
to write from the shallows.
Not to pontificate about,
thoughts in short swallows.

I'm telling a story in words
really quite bland,
for the depth of my words,,
from a mindless, shallow man.

You are my friend,
my sweet Nancy May.
I'll love you forever,
forever and a day.

We shall get married,
going on our way,
to a small house,
not far away.

We will be happy,
as man and wife,
as we live our lives,
without any strife.

What must I do,
helping you understand,
you are the best thing
to happen, so grand.

No more the worry,
no more crying in bed,
because of something
stupid, I said.

I love you dearly,
truly I do,
for all to see.

When much younger,
I traveled, returning home
on a Friday after talking to
employes for the prior days.
