For All to See
• 03/22/24 at 10:10PM •For all to see.
For all to view.
A tribute to all,
except a small few.
For all to see.
For all to view.
A tribute to all,
except a small few.
Outward flowed,
the sands of time,
when faded memories,
became sublime.
A mass of love,
becoming lost.
All those memories gone.
What was the cost?
Tranquil the night,
Busy the day.
Why do life's problems,
not go away?
Away from this time
when are bodies break,
our moral compass, bent,
and our souls are weak.
At dawning begins,
a simple ray of sunshine,
exploring the shadows,
receding from the night.
Yesterday's adventures,
have become today
and then tomorrow,
is on its way.
When Life deals you,
a different hand.
A beginning which,
I no longer understand.
Roll with the punches,
look the other way.
It's rewarding, knowing,
it was your choice to stay.
Swirled the wind,
in a Winter high,
leaving destruction,
from a dark sky.
I'll be your friend,
as long as I live,
for you I love,
and will now give.
This old heart aches,
for a love which I lost.
Finding someone new,
I needed, no matter the cost.
Another adventure,
to another place,
full of cold, sea air,
which may chap your face.
The Oregon coast,
a great place to see,
away from the unwashed,
members of our Society.
Enjoy my good friend,
as I know you will,
for life's pleasures
may be over the next hill.
Safe journeys to you,
my good friend.
Enjoy your life,
to the absolute end.
For in the end,
you must always try,
for a shot of McNaughten's,
or a drink of Bulliet Rye.
Alone, is the path,
for my new life's goal.
Widower I'll stay,
no love to embroil.
What hath fate divined,
about this life's journey traveled?
Do we know, what's in store,
before our life is unraveled?
Somewhere,
my love has gone.
Those words haunt me,
as if lyrics to a song.
Where has she gone?
I need to know,
for my heart is broken.
Where can I go?
May you soon find,
your happiness,
away from,
all your loneliness.
May all the joy,
you feel in your heart,
provide the courage for,
your new life to start.
