Colored Balloons
• 02/22/24 at 07:55AM •Colored balloons,
floating thru the air,
reminding me of
a state or county fair.
The smell of grilled onions,
and roasted ears of corn,
takes me back to Elephant
Ears and eating Kettle Corn.
Colored balloons,
floating thru the air,
reminding me of
a state or county fair.
The smell of grilled onions,
and roasted ears of corn,
takes me back to Elephant
Ears and eating Kettle Corn.
I hear a melodious sound,
of your beautiful voice
like music to me,
and I do rejoice.
Our friendship is special,
and I reach out, with the new,
seeing you with your smile
as you come into view.
You are the brightness,
which I long to see.
I hope you are very happy,
for you are beautiful to me.
He danced by himself,
in the back of the room,
thinking of memories, happy,
to brighten the gloom.
Saturday nights.
Nights to be alive,
dancing a Waltz,
the Twist, Bop or Jive.
Slipping backward,
into the darkness,
of where I am,
unaware.
Searching as
I am falling,
into darkness,
and I no longer care.
With Gusto
Here I am, once more,
it is 5 in the morning
of the day before.
Don't you worry, it is just me
ridding my mind, peripherally.
The words rattle out, many now
as I have fallen into lunacy.
In better times.
Beneath the star lit,
ice clear sky,
the leaves of summer,
fall and die.
The piles of yellows,
turn to brown,
where decay and rot,
breastfeed the ground.
And it goes on.
A short burst of words,
down to this page
with the noisiest pen,
I've ever engaged.
Words continue to pop,
in this old head of mine.
Some new words perhaps,
but mostly quite dead.
Dead from the Latin
of so long ago.
Off in the night ,
I will soon flee,
for I believe Death
is now chasing me.
Lonely are those,
who shelter in place,
without the benefit
of seeing a new face.
Go into hiding.
Don't get involved.
Stay in your room,
a mystery unsolved.
Words which crawl
or fly by
a page,
go awry!
Standing in the corner,
your hat upon your head.
Why do you stay away?
Did you think I had fled?
Alongside me you came.
You left me, like a Lord,
saying nothing,
not even a single word.
How can I explain,
if I don't know you?
Not knowing where to be,
where to go, what to do.
The World had beaten
a path to his door.
The problem was,
he didn't live there anymore.
He had moved away,
to a smaller town,
for he was tired of the attention,
the World had found.
He left his friends,
who he had for a long time.
Looking for a freedom,
he thought would be divine.
Was it the right thing to do?
He thought it was
and so he would pursue,
a new direction and cause.
All the love there is.
Don't ration your love.
Share love with each other.
If there is love in your heart,
share it with others.
Love is unlimited.
