I want to run
and hide.

Why must our lives
be so difficult now.

I see you once,
every few days.
You radiate beauty,
like moonbeam rays.

One of the points,
I see about you,
a radiant smile,
a pleasant view.

I speak in words,
hard to understand,
mostly slang words,
in this your new land.

Today is the first day of
the rest of your life's journey,
take little steps as you move
along, try not to be in a hurry.

Off we go,
once again.
A new task,
making my head spin.

Alone, by myself,

She was dressed in blue,
which matched her eyes.
A voice so lovely
it provoked many sighs.

She flowed across,

Strange how memories,

I look in the mirror,
what do I see,
an elderly man,
looking at me.

He looks familiar,
at first glance.

when he had a chance?

of a Fall afternoon,
when laughter will wane,
before its begun

Nothing is forever,
no matter how hard you try,
the ones you love will say goodbye.

Loneliness.
How can you be lonely,
when surrounded by residents
and staff?
Easy, we rely on families and
friends, when living in our home.
Coworkers are many, when
you are employed.

Life can be like building
beach sandcastles, in play.
Careful, there is stress,
as waves take the castles away.
