Beginning on Monday, May 21st, 2018 from 7:00-8:00 pm, join in on this 8-week introductory to dog essentials! This class focuses on teaching useful cues and skills to help you better communicate with your older puppy or mature dog (5 months and older) using positive reinforcement techniques as taught by Dr. Ian Dunbar, PhD, BVETMED, MRCVS and Dr. Patricia McConnell, PhD. You will learn both voice and hand commands, how dogs learn, and how you can use that knowledge to achieve training success. The first class will be a dog-free Q&A session, so they can get to know what problems you are facing with your dog. Because safety is a priority for all, the trainer requires all dogs to be current on their vaccinations and will ask for proof of current vaccination records prior to the first class with the dogs together. Cues to be taught: Come, leashing up manners, loose leash walking, sit, stay down, come down, stay, bed, come from a distance, and leave it.
