On Saturday, May 28th, 2018 from 1:00-3:00 pm, come show your support at the dedication of the Stanwood Area Historical Society’s Community Veterans Memorial. The program will include music by the Stanwood Middle School band, posting of colors, reading the names of those fallen, and a 21-gun salute and taps. The ceremony will be at Anderson Cemetery with lunch to follow at the American Legion.

This three day retreat and workshop will be held on Friday through Sunday, May 25th, 26th and 27th, 2018. Enjoy a catered lunch every day and a potluck party on the Saturday evening. You will be taking instructions from master carver Kentaro Kojima! Marenakos Rock Center and Neolithic Stone are generously providing stones during the workshop and loaner tools will be provided by the Northwest Stone Sculpture Association. No experience necessary. The 2018 Spring Stone Sculpture Hand Tooling Workshop is open to the general public 18 years and older. This sculpture workshop is designed to accommodate beginning carvers as well as more experienced sculptors. Cost is $395 per person (non-refundable).
