The first 300 attendees receive a FitFest event swag bag. Reserve your spot – space is limited. Bring water, towel and mat. Take one or several classes. Arrive early to check-in to each class and shop our pop-up vendors before, during or after the event.

To honor the veterans and active duty military members in the Puget Sound area, Woodland Park Zoo is hosting Honoring Those Who Serve, a day for military families to enjoy the zoo.

During Honoring Those Who Serve, Woodland Park Zoo will extend free admission to active, reserve, retired, and veteran U.S. military personnel and one family member with valid service identification.

August 1 will have extended zoo hours and programing for Evening Zoo as well. The zoo will be open past normal hours until 8:30 p.m. Evening Zoo events include:

Workshop by Cosmic Ash Studios, a one man operation by Allen Sessing-Hunter. Join in on a learning experience that will up your crafting game and teach you skills to bring your costume and projects to the next level! The first half will cover the materials that will be used, building a mold max, mixing the silicone and starting your mold. The second part will handle Demolding, casting the resin. All your costuming questions will be answered during this time. This will be a 100% hands on class where you will be leaving with a finished mold and cast pieces!MakerLab NW members use your promo code for discount.

Seattle Good Business Network is delighted to present our 2nd Annual GAME OF CHEFS, starring Dine Around Seattle/SeattleRestaurantWeek chefs facing off in a healthy competition to create the tastiest and most innovative dishes from a pantry of Seattle Made products and Pacific Northwest produce.Enjoy an evening at Hot Stove Society filled with delectable dishes, signature cocktails, and Seattle Made beer and wine! Local celebrity judges and audience members will choose their favorite dishes to decide who will become our next "top chef." Seafair has hosted Fleet Week on the Seattle waterfront since 1950 in celebration of the men and women who serve our country. This year Seafair, along with the Seattle Navy League and the Port of Seattle, is proud to welcome vessels and personnel from the U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard and Royal Canadian Navy. Come to the Seattle waterfront and Pier 66 on Tuesday, July 31 for a majestic Parade of Ships showcasing these spectacular vessels.

Fleet Week includes the Parade of Ships, where the Fleet makes its entrance into Elliott Bay accompanied by the spray of the Seattle Fire Department boat, and Ship Tours where guests can go aboard Navy and Coast Guard vessels to get a real taste of life at sea. Both events are free and open to the public.

Seafair proudly supports all military services, and is grateful for their service to our country. In appreciation, Seafair offers free admission to all military personnel to Seafair Weekend Hydroplane Race and Air Show on August 3-5, 2018. Uncork some of the Northwest’s finest boutique wines at Woodland Park Zoo’s after-hours, adults-only wine event, Tasting Flight presented by Delta Air Lines on Friday, July 27. Head to the zoo’s picturesque North Meadow and create your own flight of tastings from more than 65 Northwest wineries on site. Winemakers will be on hand to answer questions and give tips to make the most of your tasting experiences. Purchase a bottle of your favorite wine or a full glass to enjoy while visiting exhibits. The evening includes food trucks, music and ambassador animal encounters. Take in some of the zoo’s exhibits, including Banyan Wilds, Northern Trail and Humboldt penguins. Proceeds from this fundraiser support the zoo’s exemplary animal care program, wildlife conservation projects in the Pacific Northwest and around the
world, and extraordinary experiences that inspire and empower guests to stand up for wildlife. As part of Woodland Park Zoo’s commitment to sustainability, including waste reduction, this is a Bring Your Own Glass event. Souvenir glasses can be purchased at the event while supplies last. Tasting Flight presented by Delta Air Lines at Woodland Park Zoo is for adults 21 and over only. Valid ID is required for entry. Premium tickets for Tasting Flight presented by Delta Air Lines offer Premium ticket holders additional benefits, including early entry, a souvenir wine glass, additional wine tastings, an exclusive ambassador animal encounter and complimentary zoo tickets for a future visit. Premium tickets can be purchased in advance and online only.

Edmonds Police Foundation and Edmonds Police Department are pleased to announce our 3rd annual open house on Thursday, July 26, from 6PM to 8PM at the Edmonds Police Department. Exciting news this year!
The introduction of our newest K9 officer Ace with his handler, Officer Josh Hwang! Hopefully Officer Jason Robinson and K9 officer Hobbs will also be there. Raffle prizes, kids coloring contest, and lots of goodies for kids, as well as photo opportunities. Come meet the people who protect the great City of Edmonds.
