{"id":71802,"url":"https://www.kudos365.com/news/71802-fishing","short_url":"https://www.kudos365.com/news/71802","headline":"Fishing","content":"Water rushing down the bed of rocks.\r\nThe sounds that come from water noise,\r\nbrings back the memories, of long ago,\r\nwhen I, a young boy, not a man,\r\nwould grab my fishing pole, dig up\r\nsome worms; placing in an\r\nold, Prince Albert tobacco tin.\r\nA can that fit perfectly in a shirt pocket.\r\nI would take my fishing creel, hop\r\non my bicycle, riding to the \r\narea nearby where I believed \r\nI could catch some fish.\r\nFishing, to me, was a relaxing way\r\nto be alone and away from crowds,\r\nother children or adults.\r\nThe quiet serenity of \"stalking the\r\nnative Rainbow Trout, was mine.\r\nI don't recall catching a trout, but do\r\nremember catching \"Bullheads\", as\r\nwe called them. A small fish that \r\nlooked like a Catfish.\r\nI would release them back into the stream.\r\nThe creek I fished came down the hill, in \r\nthe Riverton Heights area, from Highway 99,\r\nending at the Duwamish River. The stream \r\nhad turned into a ditch as it passed through,\r\nThe Golden Arrow Dairy pasture, which is\r\nclose to the north end of the South Center Mall.\r\nA great memory, coming from this old mind\r\nof mine.
