Community-based Somali nonprofit providing social services to East African refugees of King County, WA

The first Somali community-based organization to be contracted by the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) for social services, SCSC is strategically located on the border of SeaTac and Tukwila; the most diverse school district in the United States. Surrounded by Somali-owned businesses, SCSC empowers families through a range of social services including naturalization assistance, employment assistance, referrals, after-school tutoring and a summer enrichment program for youth.
